Blue Spruce Motel

If you love a personable experience when you're away from home, then Blue Spruce Motel is the perfect location! The owners are on site and super friendly and accommodating. Gina from Massena Treats and Gift Shop is on site with the BEST friend donuts! Our room was clean, spacious, and met our needs. Full size hair dryer, coffee maker, iron & ironing board....did I say full size?!?! Yes!!! And don't forget the refrigerator that's NOT a dorm size one! Perfect for refreezing our ice packs and storing our drinks. It's everything that screams comfort while away from home. If you prefer a quiet, relaxing, personable stay, then stop on in. Make yourself at home and relax! Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Cleaner than any big chain, and the staff are awesome. Nice quiet location, no fuss, comfy rooms. Don’t skip the gift shop (or the good home made foods.) I only wish I’d had a few more days here.

I do some consulting in Massena a couple times a year. It has been difficult to find a good place to stay right in Massena. When I was booking for my latest trip (trip was last week) I came across the Blue Spruce Motel. I asked some people I know in Massena and they said they had never heard anything bad about it, so I booked it. Bottom line, it is an amazing place. The folks who run it are very friendly and helpful. I booked one of their suites that has a full kitchen. Since I am paid a flat rate for consulting, all my expenses have to come out of that amount. It has become very expensive to eat every meal at restaurants when I am on the road. So my wife and I brought along groceries and prepared our breakfasts, lunches, and dinners while we were there! I have found that the biggest question mark about local motels can be the bed. I have had some miserable experiences, but we found the bed at the Blue Spruce was one of the most comfortable we have ever experienced. We are going back in July and, before we left, I booked the same room for our return!

We have stayed here multiple times, and comparing to other local Massena lodging, The Blue Spruce is the cleanest. They also have large spacious rooms with amenities that can support short term and long term stay as well as families. The staff are so kind and friendly. This is the only place we will stay when we are in the area. Plus fresh cheese curd is a sure treat!!!

We were coming through town to see the place where we lived nearly 40 years ago. The Blue Spruce Motel was a perfect spot for our overnight. Our room felt like it could have been a guest suite in someone's home. One could easily make this a base for many days, as the kitchen facilities are excellent, the bed comfortable, and the living area roomy. On top of all that, the nightly rate is very reasonable.

Honestly this place was perfect. Cleanest room I've probably ever stayed in. Very quiet. Incredible staff. We accidentally tripped a breaker(100% our bad) and they had the power back on in like 30 seconds. They have free laundry for guests with a very nice large washer and dryer. The gift shop has all kinds of local specialties, handmade goods, and even free samples. I can't recommend this place enough if you're staying in the area. It's also right next to a pizza place. If I'm ever back in the area, I won't be looking at any other lodging.

My Wife and I stayed at this very comfortable and welcoming place, we enjoyed an abundance of delicious complimentary coffee in a peaceful atmosphere paired with a full kitchen, cozy beds and excellent friendly service. This is definitely our place to stay when visiting the beautiful town of Massena. Thank you Gina, Mike, John, Christina, and of course the lovely Liliana. Anyone coming to visit Massena should try the Blue Spruce, and their delicious homemade donuts, different Honey varieties or the maple syrups along with other treats that are for sale at the cool little shop at the check-in office. Friendly staff, quiet location, clean room. Very simple but you can see they try hard to deliver a clean and maintained room. Our room had a microwave and fridge. You dont get these in typical hotels.
